Miami Dolphins chose Kansas State's Skylar Thompson in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL draft, there were various fans and savants that were befuddled by the pick.
Thompson was 24 when he was drafted and turned 25 over the mid year, so he's a lot more seasoned than your typical youngster.
What's more, in his university vocation, his numbers never leaped off the page, as he added up to 7,124 yards, 42 scores and 16 block attempts in his five seasons.
Dolphins quarterback mentor Darrell Bevell talked with the media this week about the new kid on the block, and he had a recognition to store on him.
"He appears as though he has a place out there. He seems to be on the off chance that he got a call, he would be all set," Bevell expressed (translated by the Miami Herald).
"I wouldn't agree that [I'm] amazed, yet I'm exceptionally empowered and satisfied how far he has come in the psychological piece of it.
The range of abilities we saw on tape is what we truly enjoyed. The cosmetics of the fellow and the hard working attitude he has, has empowered him to do what he's doing. The range of abilities is there.
